30 Day Book Challenge I don’t remember whose Tumblr it was that I saw this on, but I thought it would be kind of neat to do it. Day One: Favourite Book I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. This is the book that started it all. I can’t remember what grade I was in when I first got this book, but I was in elementary school for sure. I had a lot of books growing up, but I was known for starting a book and never finishing it. Until, this book came along. I remember being in the bookstore with my mom and not having any intention of asking her to get me anything, until I saw this book on one of the tables. I read the back and I wasn’t that interested in it yet, but the character had the same name as my sister so I asked my mom if I could get it. I didn’t start reading it right away. In fact, it was probably over a year before I decided to pick it up again. Once I started it though, I couldn’t put it down. It was the first book that I read straight through, only stopping for bathroom breaks lol. That’s why I always say it’s my favourite book. Not because I’ve read it over and over again, because I haven’t. I’ve only read this book once, but it started my love for reading, which is why it will always be my favourite book.
